"Done, and... done!"
Jenny ran her fingers through her curly brown locks and smiled at her mirror reflection. It had been twenty-five minutes since the 23-year-old NYC med student had begun digging through her wardrobe for a new outfit, but she had finally settled on a loose white buttonless blouse and a pair of royal blue skinny jeans. A casual, humble set of clothes for an equally casual outing with a friend.
The late evening sunlight pierced through the sliver of a window she could afford. Living off of a college student budget, Jenny had been forced to settle in a miniature economy-class apartment room akin to the bunny from Zootopia's room. She was surprised she could even fit a wardrobe and makeup kit in here, as most of the space was consumed by a thin, flat bed, a tiny wooden nightstand, and a pathetic kitchen counter complete with an outdated microwave and two cabinets the size of throw pillows.
